After being way too busy, I suddenly came down with a killer cold and skipped going out to any spoken word events or writing up any of the ones I’ve already gone to. Cold finally conquered, I popped by Macalester College last night to check out the first inception of a monthly poetry slam there, being started up by one of the students. It was a great first event, with a lot of talent- I look forward to delving more into what goes on in college and high school spoken word scenes soon.
But first- I’ve been wrestling with YouTube, to get the overdue videos from slams and open mics up. Hoping to get caught up with a number of posts this week, and start getting out to see the open mics I haven’t yet hit.

It’s looking like it’ll probably be the last weekend of March… I still have to schedule it/reserve the space, but I’m aiming for the 28th.
